Do you photoshop your images?

All my photos go through a degree of editing (minor adjustments to things like lighting, crop, temperature, and tone) in Adobe Lightroom. As for altering my subjects, my general rule of thumb is if it's temporary I'll remove it (bruises, bug bits, a pimple) but if it is not then it stays (freckles, moles, scars, birth marks) unless otherwise requested! Please feel free to discuss any specifics with me before our shoot :)

How far in advance do I need to book my shoot?

The planning stage is important and I think it's a good idea to give us a little time! I suggest about reaching out to book about 6-8 weeks before you want to shoot or about 8-12 weeks before you need your images finalized and ready to release.

What does the shoot look like on the day?

Pampering!! We will start with hair and makeup and a final look through of your outfits for the shoot. The team will coordinate your outfit choices with your hair and makeup styles and if we are not already on location we will move to our shoot spot. I will give you guidance on posing and different prompts as we go and our hair/makeup team will keep an eye on your styling to ensure you are always photo ready (the celeb treatment of course).

Do you require a retainer and if so, what happens to it if I need to cancel?

A 50% non-refundable retainer is required to reserve your session date. I also understand life can come at us sideways sometimes, so if we do need to reschedule due to unforeseen circumstances you have the option to move your date once, within 90 days of the original shoot date, and you may allocate the balance paid to the new date.

What if I don't know what I want for my shoot?

No problem! It can be hard to visualize sometimes. We will go over your business, ideal clients, your why, and how you'd like to be perceived together and using that information I will build a mood board (a visual outline) custom to you! This is a great jumping off point to help get more clear and even if we need to rework it once our twice, we will hone in on exactly how to best represent you. We'll go over this in our planning in a way that is specific to you and our chosen location(s)!

Should I get my lashes done?

I love lashes! If you're someone who doesn't wear a lot of makeup and would like to keep things pretty minimal for your shoot then by all means get your lashes done. If you want to go glam though, I like to give our incredibly talented and skilled professional makeup artists the lead. We'll go over your look together and get their opinion leading up to the shoot.

Can I wear more than one outfit?

Yes, please do! Depending on the package you choose, we can do a handful of different looks. This will help you get the most longevity and versatility from your photos.

How many photos do I get from a shoot?

This varies somewhat depending on the package because the longer and more involved the shoot the more images we will create! My smallest package will give you around 10 images while a half or full day shoot will see you leaving with a minimum of 50 edited images.

When and how will I receive my photos?

You will get your edited images back within 14 business days and they will be delivered via a Dropbox gallery link with a folder for print and a folder for online resolution.
